Teulu Tefeca - Celebrating 250 Years |
The script of "Teulu@Trefeca" exists in four versions.
When Aled Lewis Evans wrote the original script mostly in Welsh it was with the idea that it would be performed by young people in their teens and twenties.
The original script was translated into English by Herbert Hughes.
After the decision to invite Primary Schools to take part it was necessary for the producers to simplify the original. Their new version was in English..
But as Stevie Atkins said, "The script is a dead thing". During workshops and rehearsals many further changes were made. Some of them came from suggestions from the children.
Parts of the new script were then translated back into Welsh by Eifiona Roberts.
